By bike, you can make the most of your very limited time at each stop while covering more ground than you would on foot. For example, the village of Tête-à-la-Baleine is too far away to reach on foot. The same goes for Blanc-Sablon; it’s impossible to walk to the Quebec/Newfoundland and Labrador border. The bike package is available only to those who have booked the complete round-trip tour. The price of the bike package is in addition to the price of the discovery package.
When?
This bike package is available as soon as conditions allow for safe riding. We estimate that from May 1 through November 15, it is possible to bike along the Lower North Shore. Due to the nature of our operations, there are times when we need to make up time to get the ferry back on schedule. That’s when biking becomes an even more appealing way to enjoy the area.
Ours bikes
We have a fleet of 18 safe electric bikes from our partner, Vélos Évasion, which already offers this service in the Magdalen Islands. With enough range to enjoy them throughout your entire stopover, they are equipped with a 500-watt E-motor and have a range of 80 km with pedal assistance per charge, which takes 3.5 to 4 hours. They are clearly marked and equipped with GPS so you can track your location at all times, ensuring that we can find you in case of any issues.
Please note that you must load and unload the bike from the container yourself at the designated stops and will need to charge the bike’s battery in your cabin so that it is fully charged at each stop.
Bicycles are available at the following stops: Sept-Îles, Port-Menier (Anticosti Island), Havre Saint-Pierre, Tête-à-la-Baleine, La Tabatière, and Blanc Sablon. For safety reasons, however, the bicycle container is not accessible during overnight stops or in the event of severe weather..
The price of this package
- Per person: $295 plus tax;
- Two people in the same cabin: $495 plus taxes.
A helmet is included. It is disinfected after each ride, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer..

For cycling tourism
f you’re traveling with your own bicycle as a means of transportation, you can reserve a space to transport your bicycle, whether it’s electric or not. With this option, you won’t have access to your bicycle until you reach your final destination, since it’s being transported as cargo. If you have a battery, however, it must remain with you in a bag or in your carry-on luggage. Spaces for this option are very limited—only 3 per trip. The price is set at $45.
